Jealousy

What makes you jealous?

Jealousy is usually considered a negative emotion, and rightfully so, for it causes a lot of destructive behaviors.

And it's very powerful. I love the quote from Charlie Munger:

Jealousy, not greed, makes the world go 'round

Something else I've noticed: jealousy is the most honest compass of one's desires. It often requires a bit of introspection—maybe wanting a possession actually signals wanting the social status from having the possession—but it means there's something you want, that you don't have.

So next time you feel jealous, try to figure out why. I'm not that jealous naturally so when it hits me, I really notice. Jealousy, and all your emotions, can point to what's in Denial Prison, which is often quite tough to see.
